Meet Kannan Harms

Kannan Harms is woven into the fabric of helping home buyers discover their American Dream. As a mortgage banker with Dacotah Bank in Rapid City, she has become an expert in discovering the best financing option for her customers. She said the laws have changed quite a bit in the decade she’s been working in mortgage, but one thing she has stayed loyal to is being completely transparent and honest with her customers. Kannan said “I started as a temp in a mortgage processing center in Spearfish and fully expected to find something more “artsy” eventually. But God had a completely different plan and before I knew it, I was working full time in the housing industry…and loving it! As they say, the rest is history.” Kannan is always looking for ways to impact the Black Hills area and enjoys volunteering and supporting local non-profits in the community. Her favorite time is spent with her husband Jonathan and toddler Margot.
